It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Cleeve Prior C of E Primary School. I am immensely proud to be Headteacher of our small, family orientated school. We pride ourselves in providing a caring welcoming environment rooted in Christian Values where it is possible to know all our children and their families. We believe that every child is different, yet equally important and valued. This is reflected in our vision 'Where every child shines' , which is taken from Matthew 5:16 'Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven'. This vision is realised through our SHINES values
S- safe H-happy I -independent N-nurture and E -endeavour all of which lead to S - success.
The starting point for Cleeve Prior School is, quite simply, its Christian Foundation. The daily life of the school strives to reflect this. The ethos of the school is achieved through a combination of the worship, the taught curriculum, the hidden curriculum and the extra-curricular activities. Alterations in the structure of the education system nationally have brought a steady stream of changes of the past few years, yet our principle aim remains the same: to achieve quality education within the context of a Christian community; where pupils, parents, governors and teachers join in shared commitment.
This is a very friendly school where children are encouraged to become confident, caring and articulate and to use their abilities to the full. We provide a calm and happy atmosphere and set high standards of respect, courtesy, hard work and achievement for all children and adults. Our children are hard working and enthusiastic about their learning but they also value other peoples' achievements as well as their own.
We are very much a team at Cleeve Prior – parents, governors and staff working together to give the children the best chances we can. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to look around and encounter the Cleeve Prior experience for yourself.
